Delirious

Delirious (2007) is Tom DiCillo's bittersweet comedy-drama starring Steve Buscemi, available to watch online on iFILM — a sharp little story about friendship, envy and the hunger for fame.

Les Galantin is a bottom-rung paparazzo chasing the one compromising shot that might finally make his name. He picks up Toby, a homeless kid played by Michael Pitt, and passes him off as his assistant, dragging him to red carpets and launch parties. Toby falls for pop star K'Harma Leeds, and almost by accident his own career starts climbing faster than his mentor's ever did.

Once Toby becomes a TV star, Les's admiration curdles into poisonous jealousy. DiCillo skewers the celebrity machine from the inside, and Buscemi plays the sad-sack loser so well you pity and despise him at once. Gina Gershon and Alison Lohman round out the cast.
