Night and the City

Night and the City (1992) — Irwin Winkler's crime drama starring Robert De Niro — is available to watch online on iFILM. It reworks Jules Dassin's 1950 noir of the same name: Harry Fabian, a small-time Manhattan attorney who can't close a good case, decides the fastest route to money and respect is boxing promotion.

He has none of the capital, few of the contacts, and zero self-awareness. Jessica Lange plays Helen, his girlfriend and reluctant backer; Jack Warden, Alan King, and Eli Wallach fill out a cast stocked with New York character actors.
