Synopsis
Life in a Day (2011) is a documentary you can watch online on iFILM. On July 24, 2010, people in countries across the globe uploaded over 80,000 video clips to YouTube in answer to a single prompt: film your day. Editor-director Kevin Macdonald and producer Ridley Scott shaped the footage into a 95-minute film.
Morning coffee in Seoul, a wedding in Africa, a livestock market in the Middle East, a father putting a daughter to bed — all the same Tuesday. The structure follows the clock: dawn, midday, night. What fills that frame is the full range of what a day can hold: births and funerals, boredom and terror, small kindnesses and visible loneliness.
