Synopsis
SHIROBAKO (2014) is a P.A. Works anime series you can watch online on iFILM. Five friends from a high-school animation club each find their way into the industry after graduation — but not quite on the terms they imagined when they made their promise over donuts.
Aoi works as a production assistant at a Tokyo studio, chasing drivers and managing schedules that are always one crisis away from collapse. Ema draws in-betweens, Shizuka auditions for voice roles nobody is giving her yet, Misa handles 3D work she didn't plan for, and Midori writes scripts in secret. The show is unusually candid about what creative work actually looks like: missed cuts, last-minute rewrites, and the slow grind between having a dream and seeing it on screen — told with warmth rather than bitterness.
