Synopsis
Nuremberg (2000) is a two-part historical drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Yves Simoneau stages the trial where the Allies put twenty-one surviving Nazi leaders before a court that did not yet exist when their crimes were committed.
Alec Baldwin plays U.S. prosecutor Robert H. Jackson, who has to build a case with almost no precedent to lean on. Across the room sits Hermann Göring, and Brian Cox turns him into a quick, charming, genuinely dangerous adversary who treats the dock like a stage. Christopher Plummer, Max von Sydow and Charlotte Gainsbourg fill out a room where the phrase "crime against humanity" is being argued into existence.
The script draws on Joseph Persico's account and the actual session transcripts, so the questions — guilt, orders, personal responsibility — land without speeches. The real reason to watch is the Baldwin–Cox duel: tired lawyer versus smiling killer. Stream Nuremberg (2000) online on iFILM.
