Synopsis
The St. Valentine's Day Massacre (1967) — watch online on iFILM — Roger Corman's crime film about Al Capone's decisive hit on Prohibition-era Chicago.
On February 14, 1929, seven members of Bugs Moran's North Side gang were lined up in a Clark Street garage and cut down by men in police uniforms. Capone had arranged to be out of town. Corman structures the film as a near-documentary reconstruction, with a clinical narrator tracking timelines, names and body counts. Jason Robards plays Capone without any mob-boss charisma tricks; George Segal fills out the ensemble alongside a young Bruce Dern.
The film's cold, almost procedural tone was unusual for 1967 — no stylized violence, no romanticizing the underworld. Stream The St. Valentine's Day Massacre (1967) on iFILM.
