Synopsis
71: Into the Fire (2010) is a South Korean war film based on a true story — watch online on iFILM. August 1950, the Korean Peninsula. With the front line barely holding at the Nakdong River, seventy-one student-soldiers are handed a near-impossible order: hold the girls' middle school in Pohang against a North Korean advance.
These are not trained troops. Days before, they were university students. Outgunned and outnumbered, they must keep the enemy at bay long enough for reinforcements that may never arrive. Seventy-one untested fighters. No retreat route.
Directed by Lee Jae-han and starring Kwon Sang-woo and Cha Seung-won, the film strips away the usual heroics and stays close to what those hours actually felt like — fear, improvisation, and the brutal arithmetic of holding ground with the wrong odds. Watch 71: Into the Fire (2010) online on iFILM.
