That single refusal set off a sequence — a prison warden, a journalist, a young woman named Yeon-hee — each one choosing a small piece of honesty without knowing where the chain would end. Ha Jung-woo, Yoo Hae-jin, Kim Tae-ri, and Kang Dong-won head an ensemble where almost every character is based on someone real.

The film moves like a relay: perspective shifts with each act, tracing private decisions that accumulate into the June Democracy Movement.
