Synopsis

After the 2008 financial collapse, no major Wall Street institution faced criminal indictment — yet Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. charged the Sung family with mortgage fraud. Their bank had served the Chinatown community for four decades. James, the director who made Hoop Dreams in 1994, builds the film from courtroom footage and candid interviews with the family itself.
