Synopsis
You're Killing Me Susana (Me estás matando, Susana, 2016) is a Mexican rom-com with a bitter edge you can watch online on iFILM. Eligio rolls home at dawn, sleeps it off, and wakes to find his wife gone — no note, no call, nothing.
Asking around, he learns Susana has flown to a writers' residency in the States, fed up with his charming refusal to grow up. He chases her half a continent north to win her back, only to find that charm isn't enough and she may already have a life of her own.
Director Roberto Sneider adapts José Agustín's novel and keeps the tone on a wire between romantic comedy and a sober tale about growing up at forty. Verónica Echegui matches Bernal beat for beat.
