Tian Ke runs food across the city from his family's restaurant. One afternoon the route takes him to a pool where a team of deaf athletes trains for the Paralympics. He meets two sisters there — one preparing for the games, one managing all the logistics around her. Tian Ke happens to know sign language from college, so conversation starts easily. Feelings are more complicated: the sister he falls for begins pulling away, convinced that love will cost her sibling the one thing that matters most.
