Synopsis
Cosmonaut's Dreams (2024) is a Kazakh drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Bekentai Azhibekov tells the quiet story of a boy named Altair who doesn't know the truth about his parents. His grandfather Gennady keeps insisting that mom and dad are cosmonauts, out among the stars, guarding Earth from hostile aliens.
Altair believes every word. In his head a whole universe takes shape — bright, full of stars and enemies — and he starts dreaming of flying up there to join them. Then doctors find a severe case of meningitis. As the illness blurs the line between waking life and fantasy, the boy fights monsters in his imagined world while real physicians fight to keep him alive. Tagir Mirzadinov and Olga Landina are in the cast.
