Synopsis
Looking for a light Russian sitcom to watch online? #Yazhotets (2021) streams on iFILM. Mikhail is forty-four and hasn't made much of his life — he lives in his wife's apartment, she pays the bills, and his one source of pride is a toy-unboxing video blog he films with his young son Styopka.
Mid-shoot, he learns his wife has someone else. A divorce follows, weekend-dad status sets in, and Mikhail digs in his heels to keep the channel alive. He relaunches it as "educational," passing down the life wisdom he doesn't actually possess, so every lesson ends in some small disaster. The comedy is everyday and easy to recognize, with Gosha Kutsenko in the cast. A good pick if you want a low-stakes story about a hapless father with no moralizing attached.
