Synopsis
Russkie (The Russians, 2023) is a Russian spy series you can watch online on iFILM. Washington, 2003. Catherine and Georges Gautier run a small photo studio, and he lectures at Georgetown. To the neighbors, they're an unremarkable couple.
In reality they are Vera Sviblova and Anton Vyazin, officers of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service. Their assignment in the States is to dig up the details of a covert program, "Zone of Influence," built to wreck the Russian economy. For a while the cover holds — until a mole back home gives them up and the FBI opens a manhunt. To stay alive and keep the operation breathing, Vera and Anton have to perform love and marriage, sometimes betraying both for real. Ekaterina Molokhovskaya and Pyotr Rykov head the cast.
