Synopsis
The Death of Dick Long (2019) is a pitch-black comedy-crime film you can watch online on iFILM. Director Daniel Scheinert — one half of the Daniels duo behind Everything Everywhere All at Once — drops two Alabama friends into a crisis they absolutely cannot handle: their buddy Dick died last night, and the circumstances are not the kind you explain to the police.
Zeke and Earl spend the whole movie trying to look normal. They ditch evidence, dodge questions, and keep hoping small-town Alabama will just forget the whole thing. It won't. Michael Abbott Jr. and Andre Hyland play them with a straight-faced sincerity that somehow makes every terrible decision funnier. Sarah Baker and Roy Wood Jr. show up as the investigators slowly closing the gap.
