Synopsis
Tumbledown (2016) — watch online on iFILM — is a romantic dramedy directed by Sean Mewshaw, set in a small town on the Maine coast. Rebecca Hall plays Hannah, a widow who has built her entire life around the memory of her late husband, a revered folk musician whose death remains unexplained. She's not grieving anymore. She's just stopped.
Into that stopped life comes Andrew, a pushy New York academic played by Jason Sudeikis, who wants to write the definitive book about the dead singer and needs Hannah's cooperation to do it. She finds him insufferable. He keeps showing up anyway. The friction between them — her quiet stubbornness against his loud certainty — is what the film runs on. Blythe Danner and Joe Manganiello round out a solid supporting cast.
The film doesn't overreach. It's modest in scale and knows it — a character-driven piece where the chemistry between Hall and Sudeikis does most of the work. If you've ever watched someone hold onto loss like a job description, Tumbledown will read exactly right. Stream it online on iFILM.
