The Real Ghostbusters (1986) is the animated spin-off you can watch online on iFILM. Built on the success of Ivan Reitman's live-action hit, the series follows Egon Spengler, Ray Stantz, Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddemore — four paranormal scientists running a ghost-catching operation out of an old New York firehouse, with secretary Janine and the team mascot Slimer rounding out the crew.

Each episode drops them into a fresh supernatural crisis: specters escaping subway tunnels, entities seeping through from parallel dimensions, hauntings that play by rules no textbook covers. The show doesn't retread the film. It builds its own mythology, introduces original villains and goes places the movie never attempted.
