Synopsis
Veneciafrenia (2022) is a Spanish-Italian horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Álex de la Iglesia — the filmmaker behind The Day of the Beast and The Oxford Murders. The setting is Venice at carnival time, and the city itself is as hostile as any monster in the cast.
A group of young Spaniards arrive for a bachelorette trip. A jester in a Rigoletto mask keeps turning up where he shouldn't. By morning one of their friends is missing — and there's no trace he was ever there. De la Iglesia builds the dread through narrow canals, costumed crowds and closed-door parties before letting it tip into something genuinely ugly.
