Synopsis
Deepsea Challenge 3D (2014) is a documentary you can watch online on iFILM, following James Cameron's solo descent to the deepest point on Earth. Directed by Andrew Wight, Raymond Quint, and John Bruno, the film covers the seven years of preparation behind Cameron's custom-built DEEPSEA CHALLENGER submersible.
On 26 March 2012, Cameron dropped nearly 11 kilometres to Challenger Deep at the bottom of the Mariana Trench — the first person ever to make that journey alone. He spent about three hours on the seafloor, collecting sediment and filming creatures that almost no camera had captured before. Cameron built impossible worlds on screen for decades; this one was real. Stream Deepsea Challenge 3D (2014) online on iFILM.
