Nekrotronic

Nekrotronic (2018) is an Australian action-horror-comedy you can watch online on iFILM, where demons have moved into smartphones and harvest human souls straight through the screen. Howie has no idea — until one ordinary day online drags him into all of it.

It turns out he's a born necromancer, one of a secret order that hunts the undead. The demons answer to Finnegan, played with relish by Monica Bellucci, and Howie (Ben O'Toole) is left with a thin set of options: learn to fight digital evil, or become its fuel. David Wenham and Tess Haubrich fill out the ranks.

Director Kiah Roache-Turner, of the splatter romp Wyrmwood, brings the same instincts here — buckets of blood, neon goo, gags that don't care about taste, and not a serious bone in its body.
