Cloning changes nothing for Italy's most celebrated loser. Fantozzi still ends up at a children's resort built for millionaires' kids, nearly destroys his marriage over a lottery ticket, and crosses paths with an extraterrestrial. Milena Vukotic returns as the long-suffering wife. Villaggio played this character for nearly twenty-five years, and by the end the character's exhaustion and the actor's seem to have merged — which gives the slapstick an unexpected undertow.
