Synopsis
The Astronaut (L'Astronaute, 2023) — watch online on iFILM. Nicolas Giraud, who also wrote and directed, plays Jim, an aeronautical engineer at Ariane Espace who has spent years in secret building his own rocket — his goal: the first amateur manned spaceflight.
Jim's obsession leaves no room for anything else. Matthieu Kassovitz plays the person Jim eventually has to let in, because the project has grown too large for one pair of hands. That act of sharing turns out to be harder than any technical problem the rocket posed. The film runs 110 minutes and earns them.
