Synopsis
Brice de Nice (2005) is a French comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by James Huth and starring Jean Dujardin years before his Oscar-winning turn in The Artist. Brice is a thirty-year-old trust-fund kid living on the French Riviera, convinced he's a world-class surfer and waiting for the perfect wave.
The joke that carries the whole film: the Mediterranean doesn't have surfing waves. At all. Brice has been standing on the beach with his board for years, a cult object of ridicule who remains completely sincere about his vocation. When a girl and a rival enter the picture, his carefully constructed self-image starts to crack. Clovis Cornillac plays his long-suffering best friend with the right amount of exhausted loyalty.
