His testimony anchored the Palermo proceedings that put hundreds of mafiosi in the dock at once. The price was brutal — dozens of relatives killed in revenge, and the rest of his days spent under a new identity in witness protection. His widow and children, hidden for years in the United States, speak on camera here for the first time.
