Букины (Seasons 1–2)

The Bukins (Букины, 2023) is a Russian sitcom you can watch online on iFILM — the next chapter for the loudest family in Yekaterinburg, the one fans first met in Happily Together, the local take on Married… with Children. Gena and Dasha have finally pushed their kids out into adult life and planned to enjoy some peace.

It doesn't last. Their son Roma and his partner Sveta suddenly decide to visit — and not alone, but with a family and children of their own. A crowded house is bad enough, but the new neighbors also can't stand sharing a fence with this rowdy bunch. Where the four Bukins once drove the whole block crazy by themselves, there are now plenty more of them, and quiet is off the table. Viktor Loginov is back as Gena, with Natalya Bochkaryova as Dasha.

Several directors worked on the show, Garik Petrosyan among them, and the humor hasn't changed a bit — domestic, loud and proudly unsubtle. It's aimed squarely at anyone who grew up on the original and wants to see the old characters older but no wiser. Stream The Bukins (2023) online on iFILM.
