Synopsis
The Polupanovs (Полупановы, 2024) is a Russian comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Social worker Natalya shows up at the Polupanov household with good news: an urban-renewal program entitles them to a brand-new home.
That's where the absurdity kicks in. To the whole settlement's astonishment, the oddball family flatly refuses to leave their old but "cozy" shack. Natalya throws everything at the problem — blackmail, staged ghost scares, threats to call child services, even nudging the neighbors toward a small revolt. Every scheme blows up in her face and trails consequences nobody saw coming. The longer the standoff drags on, the more she wants the answer to one question: why do these people cling to the past and run from a better life?
