Synopsis
The Dawns Here Are Quiet (2015) is Renat Davletyarov's war drama, and you can watch online on iFILM. It's a fresh take on Boris Vasilyev's novella: five young anti-aircraft gunners and one sergeant standing against an SS sabotage team in the Karelian forests in the spring of 1942.

The job of stopping them falls to Sergeant Vaskov (Pyotr Fyodorov) and a handful of girls who have barely seen combat. Each carries her own interrupted life and her own reason for being out here. On paper it's a minor skirmish, but a vital supply artery is at stake, and the cost will be paid in the people who matter most.
Davletyarov rebuilds the beloved 1972 film for a new audience: harsher imagery, a heavy focus on the women's faces and the silence between gunshots.
